Driving Theory

Do You Need To Take A Driving Theory Test?

If you are a learner driver you must take and pass your  test comprising multiple choice questions and Hazard perception clips, before you book your . If you already have a driving licence you might not have to take another theory test if you want to start driving a different vehicle.

What Is The Driving Theory Test?

ONE IN FIVE NEW DRIVERS HAVE AN ACCIDENT IN THEIR FIRST YEAR!  Being a good driver is about more than handling a car. You also need to know what road-signs mean, what makes for good road etiquette and how to anticipate dangers before they happen. The Theory test is designed to help you ‘read and understand the road’.  But research shows ‘hazard perception training’ can really reduce the accident rate of new drivers. The test is made up of two parts – a multiple-choice section and a hazard perception section. You’ll need to pass both bits before you can book a driving test.
